How did you know communications was the right field for you?

I began my career in design, drawing on a solid foundation in communications. As I transitioned into marketing, I developed a business-oriented mindset, focusing on how our partners perceive messaging and the importance of storytelling. I’ve learned that effective strategies are rooted in our narratives and the stories we share. Understanding our partners’ needs and how we can address them is essential. In marketing, business, and communications, storytelling plays a crucial role in highlighting a company’s identity.

You describe yourself as a “problem-solver.” How will that skill help you in this role at AKCG?

When I encounter problems, I see thrilling challenges just waiting to be tackled! I love diving deep into the details, exploring every angle to uncover creative solutions. I’m all about thinking creatively, analyzing data, and considering all the possibilities. To me, there’s never just one way to solve a problem, and I embrace the challenge with enthusiasm turning obstacles into opportunities.

What motivated you to join the AKCG Team?

Meeting the leadership team at AKCG and learning about their impactful work felt like an immediate alignment. Their dedication to delivering exceptional service and clear communication mirrors my own passion, making it a perfect fit for me. I am genuinely excited to contribute to such an inspiring organization!

How do you stay informed of the education and senior living industries that AKCG supports?

My prior experience in the education and senior living industries has provided me with valuable insights into what these sectors seek and require. I stay informed by keeping up with updates from school districts and relevant news, often finding the best information on their message boards. To gain a deeper understanding, I put myself in the shoes of parents and family members, allowing me to connect more effectively with their needs and perspectives.

And just for fun, what’s your favorite vacation destination?

These are my dream destinations, but one place I absolutely want to visit is Japan, especially to see the Fushimi Inari Shrines in winter. I also have my sights set on Florence, Italy, where I hope to explore the Uffizi Gallery and the stunning Basilica of Santa Croce. Each of these places has so much to offer, I hope to experience their unique beauty and history someday!
