Reputation Management
Protecting your reputation starts with understanding it. AKCG combines reputation intelligence with strategic reputation management to help organizations build trust, navigate change, and strengthen stakeholder confidence.
Protect, Build, and Restore Your Organization’s Reputation
Your reputation is one of your organization’s most valuable assets.
It influences stakeholder trust, leadership credibility, employee engagement, donor confidence, customer loyalty, and media perception.
The challenge is knowing how your organization is truly perceived.
Many organizations invest in communications, marketing, and public relations without first understanding where trust stands.
AKCG takes an elevated approach to reputation management.
Our reputation management services begin with reputation intelligence. Through our proprietary CODE Score℠ Leadership Trust Baseline, we help organizations measure stakeholder trust before recommending a strategy.
The result is a reputation management plan built on facts, not assumptions.
Reputation Management Starts with Reputation Intelligence
Before you can build, preserve or restore your reputation, you need to understand it.
AKCG’s Leadership Trust Baseline provides a clear picture of how key stakeholders view your organization and its leadership.
Rather than relying on anecdotal feedback, we gather measurable insights that help leaders make informed decisions.
Our reputation intelligence helps organizations:
- Measure stakeholder trust.
- Identify perception gaps.
- Understand organizational strengths.
- Detect emerging concerns before they become larger issues.
- Prioritize communications based on real stakeholder feedback.
This baseline becomes the foundation for every reputation management recommendation that follows.
Our team of highly skilled strategic communicators will create a custom reputation management solution for your business using our proprietary CODE ScoreSM review process. Your CODE Score will reveal how crucial stakeholders perceive your leadership and organization in four critical areas: Caring, Openness, Dedication and Expertise. This review will enable us to identify the primary elements currently impacting your reputation and how stakeholders perceive you as a source of credible and trustworthy information and support.
Using your CODE Score, we will establish key milestones and performance indicators to make our reputation management efforts effective and quantifiable and build a custom stakeholder engagement plan to help overcome any reputational damage you may have incurred, enhance your brand image and position you for future success.
Why Reputation Intelligence Matters
Every organization has blind spots.
Employees may view leadership differently than board members.
Customers may have different concerns than community leaders.
Donors, residents, parents, members, or investors may see opportunities and risks leadership has never considered.
Reputation intelligence helps organizations understand those perspectives before they affect trust.
Organizations that understand stakeholder perceptions are better prepared to:
- Lead through change.
- Communicate with confidence.
- Navigate leadership transitions.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships.
- Protect long-term credibility.
Our Reputation Management Framework
Every organization starts from a different place.
Some organizations need to build trust.
Some need to preserve a strong reputation.
Others need to restore confidence following a difficult event or leadership change.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is Reputation Management?
Reputation management involves monitoring, influencing, and controlling how your brand is perceived by the stakeholders who matter to your future viability and success.
What factors can potentially harm a business’s reputation?
Negative reviews, social media backlash, data breaches, unethical business practices, unchallenged rumors and innuendo, and poor customer service are all factors that affect a company’s reputation. Addressing these issues promptly and effectively can prevent long-term damage to your brand’s reputation.
Can an organization’s reputation be quantified?
An organization’s reputation is difficult to measure. Like a brand, reputation is, more than anything else, a feeling stakeholders have about you and your organization. But with AKCG’s CODE Score Assessment™, we can measure stakeholder feeling in four key areas – caring, openness, dedication and expertise – and use that information to craft a compelling stakeholder engagement plan to protect and boost reputation.
What are the benefits of working with a reputation management company?
Collaborating with a reputation management firm like AKCG that has expertise and know-how will provide your company with a range of benefits, such as enhancing visibility among key stakeholders, fostering stakeholder trust, effectively managing negative feedback, boosting brand credibility, and establishing brand loyalty.
