Media Mastery Program
The Media Mastery Program provides expert media relations training that empowers your organization to seize control of its media strategy. Our comprehensive six-month program is meticulously designed to furnish your team with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to secure consistent media coverage, engage effectively with journalists and establish your organization as a distinguished thought leader in your industry.
Program Overview
Unlike conventional outsourced PR solutions, this is a hands-on training program that instills the invaluable skill of “fishing” for media opportunities within your team. With tailored guidance, ongoing support and expert mentorship, we equip your organization to navigate the complex media landscape with finesse.
Our goal is to ensure that by the end of the program your team can do the following:
- Establish a framework for seamless and frequent story generation.
- Increase earned media coverage over time.
- Foster confidence in ongoing media interactions to generate the results you want.

- Media Engagement Training: Equip yourself or your company’s spokesperson with the skills to excel in media interactions and secure optimal coverage.
- Repurposing Media Coverage: Amplify earned media across your communication channels effectively.
Guided Support (Months 2-6)
Within the second phase, AKCG will provide twice-monthly virtual sessions with your team for ongoing mentorship and support. Within these sessions, we will:
- Refine and strengthen your editorial calendar, fine-tune story ideas and maintain a focused media outreach strategy.
- Provide pitch coaching, feedback and suggestions to enhance the appeal of your pitches.
- Show you how to stay ahead of industry trends with strategic insights on relevant media outlets and emerging developments.

Learn About Our Work
The Phoebe and AKCG teams have collaborated to develop and install robust issue and crisis communication plans to help ensure that this organization focused on health care, housing and support services for seniors can weather challenges, with its reputation and integrity intact. This scenario-based preparedness program allows us to reach key audiences effectively and authentically in today’s near-instant communication landscape.
When an East Coast independent school accepted an extremely high-profile student, the school partnered with AKCG to develop a crisis-communications Escalation Plan — a roadmap to guide communications in response to a range of potential crisis events. The plan was put into action on numerous occassions, helping the school execute a timely response to developments with explosive potential.
AKCG, through its relationship with The National Catholic Risk Retention Group (TNCRRG), provides a variety of communication-preparedness services — including webinars, newsletter contributions and live presentations — to the organization’s members. Additionally, AKCG provides scenario road maps on issue and crisis topics to help the organization’s members prepare for challenges. These planning tools guide members through the planning and initial communications phases of instances that could negatively impact reputation and community goodwill.
