This week, meet Britt Eng, an associate who works with our proactive media relations team. Britt is a bright team member who diligently works to spearhead strategy development and secure meaningful coverage for our healthcare and senior living PR clients. Learn more about Britt below.
What motivated you to seek a career in communications?
I’m passionate about developing creative approaches to help people, communities, and organizations express themselves and understand each other. Even when we speak the same language, we digest information differently because of our individual experiences. I pursued a career where I could bridge people and ideas together.
What is your favorite aspect of public relations?
In PR, we may play many roles. We’re writers, editors, brand ambassadors, mediators, spokespeople, social media gurus, etc. It’s a diverse profession with opportunities to build new skills. In all of our roles, we get to help others show up as the best version of themselves, and that’s rewarding to me.
When did you know AKCG was the team for you?
When I interned for AKCG I felt uplifted and valued. Postgrad, I was excited AKCG reached out to me because I knew it would be a place where I can grow professionally and feel supported.
At AKCG, our days are full and productive. How do you center yourself and get ready for the work week ahead?
I like to meditate for 10-15 minutes as often as possible. It clears my head so I can make space for creativity.
And just for fun: Where is your favorite place to eat?
I’m a foodie, so it’s hard to choose one. There’s a hole-in-the-wall sushi spot called Kim’s Sushi that is a gem for casual meals.
