Colby Gallagher is Vice President at AKCG – Public Relations Counselors, where she works with current and prospective clients in the firm’s crisis communications practice. In her role, Colby oversees the crisis team, providing strategy, counsel and direction. She is also responsible for leading clients’ crisis response and planning proactive reputation management programs.

Colby graduated magna cum laude from Rowan University, where she earned dual bachelor’s degrees in journalism and radio, television, and film. Throughout her career, Colby has been on both sides of the camera – writing, filming and editing stories as a broadcast journalist and representing government agencies as a public information officer. She has also developed media relations and social media strategies, internal and external communications plans, and spokesperson training programs.

Colby is a certified advanced public information officer through the Federal Emergency Management Administration and a member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association and the National Business Officers Association.
