When a crisis practice needs steady leadership, Brynn Buskirk is the one holding it together. She leads AKCG’s crisis communications practice and oversees the firm’s crisis management team of skilled crisis communications specialists, counselors, and advisors.
Leading AKCG’s Crisis Practice
Brynn brings two decades of leadership experience in senior living and higher education, with a background spanning operations, marketing, and communications. In senior leadership roles, she has guided organizations through complex challenges by combining strategic thinking, effective communication, and collaborative problem-solving, skills she now applies to leading AKCG’s crisis practice and the specialists within it.
Known for her positive, growth-oriented leadership style, Brynn is passionate about developing people, solving complex problems, and helping organizations communicate effectively and move forward with clarity.
Education & Teaching
Brynn holds a bachelor’s degree from Moravian College and a master’s degree from Lehigh University. She has served as an adjunct instructor at DeSales University, sharing her experience with emerging professionals.
Community Involvement
Brynn is an active supporter of the aging services field and the broader community. She has volunteered with both LeadingAge and LeadingAge Pennsylvania and is a founding member and co-chair of Dementia Friendly Lehigh Valley, an initiative dedicated to building inclusive communities for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. She has also previously served on the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Women’s Summit steering committee and the Alliance on Aging at the United Way, reflecting her ongoing commitment to community engagement and regional collaboration.
Personal
Brynn lives in the Lehigh Valley, PA, with her husband, three boys, and an assortment of rescue animals. In her spare time, she can be found sitting on the sidelines at youth sports, reading a good book, or traveling with her family.
