Alyssa Cosio is an associate at AKCG – Public Relations Counselors. Alyssa supports the firm’s crisis communications and issues management practice, specifically its education and healthcare clients, and helps develop and implement strategies for effective reputation management. Alyssa brings her expertise in crisis strategy and planning, which she began assisting with during her internship with the firm.
Alyssa graduated from The College of New Jersey, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a track focus on interpersonal communication. In 2019, she helped strategize PR Plans for local businesses in Ewing, NJ.
Alyssa is a member of Biñanenses Eastern USA, a non-profit Filipino American organization dedicated to serving the community of Biñan, Laguna, Philippines by fundraising for scholars while preserving the culture of its members for future generations. From 2014 – 2019 Alyssa served as a youth leader and counselor at St. John’s Youth Ministry program where she helped organize and lead annual retreats for middle and high school students along with weekly meetings. Here, she facilitated many difficult large and small group discussions and activities for the youth and encouraged amplifying personal backgrounds and experiences to create a sense of community for students. She is passionate about utilizing communication tools within her own and other communities and finding new ways to connect the two.
